A few years ago I used to play loads of house but have been focusing on the more funk/breaks stuff recently. As I’ve got back in the studio, things progressed & I made a house EP. I signed it to UK based label Bloxbox Records for release soon. With this in mind & the fact I’ve started doing a few gigs back as Doug Masters, I thought I’d put together a mix of great tunes on the deeper & more 4/4 side of things. Think deep, spaced out disco grooves all the way through to my take on house. It’s a free download from the Soundcloud player & the full track listing can be found in the SC info section. This cheeky booty has been in my more upbeat sets for a while & has been one of the highlights when I’ve played it out. The original is a classic, dare I say it, trance tune from back in the day but I’ve given it the once over & turned it into a slamming breaks number that’s heavy on the bass bins.
