Recently I’ve been playing & making quite a lot of disco & house. I’ve always played this kind of music but have been more focussed on funk & breaks, especially for the production side of things. I put this sweet little tune together & played it out a few times where it sounded really good! So I thought I’d give it away as a freebie. Super happy to be making my return to one of the best parties in Sydney, S.a.s.h for their huge Xmas party which takes place at The Greenwood (by day) & Home Nightclub (by night). I was super happy to be given the opportunity to remix the title track from the Dub Pistols new album ‘Crazy Diamond’. It’s my 3rd remix for the Dub’s (I also did Killa Sound & I’m In Love) which have all been released on Sunday Best, the label from the guys that run the amazing Uk festival Bestival.

I was recently away on tour playing shows in both Canada & Ibiza. 2 highlights of the trip were the awesome Motion Notion Festival at the foot of the rocky mountains near Golden (BC) in Canada & In The Dark at Hi Ibiza (formerly Space).
At Motion Notion I played on the main stage on Friday night/Sat morning, 4.30-6am, right after fellow Danio Management artist & Canadian festival favourite Stickybuds. Even though it was late & pretty cold I had a big crowd for my set & it was so much fun to play to the bass loving people on the AMAZING new PK Sound gravity sound system, which I think may be the best I’ve ever played on! My set took in funk, glitch hop, breaks, bass, house, 2 step & jungle/DnB. Check it out…
Motion Notion Festival 2017:
In Ibiza it was a whole different experience. Returning to the club that used to be Space was a bit odd at first. Hi Ibiza has a different vibe in a similar setting even though they’ve extensively refurbished the venue. I played at the now infamous Wild Corner which is actually a room in the clubs main unisex toilets! It’s got a full DJ booth, dance floor & killer sound system. I joined my good friends & sometime production partner, Mr Doris for a 6 hour back to back set of disco & house. The room was packed all night & had such a great vibe! A few months ago I was approached by the amazing Adapted Records for a track of mine to be included as part of their ‘Glitch & Funk’ series. I’m super happy to return to Ibiza in Sept to play at the brand new Hi Ibiza (formerly Space) alongside my good buddy Mr Doris in the room they call The Wild Corner. The room is actually a uni-sex toilet that’s got a DJ booth & dance floor in it! It’s pretty crazy & different.

It’s been a little while since I did a remix so when this gem of a tune by McTwist & Bobby Danger was signed up to Grits N Gravy I was eager to give it a good going over! The original is a summery singalong that Juno Download called ‘an instant classic’. My mix is aimed more at the dance floor with beef upped bass & baets. Also dropping on a well rounded release are remixes by Sonek & Smokey Montrose!
