Once again I’m stoked to be making my way across the Pacific Ocean to the beautiful country of Canada to play at one of my favourite festivals Motion Notion!
Danio Management artists are out in full effect with Fort Knox Five, Stickybuds, Slynk, JPod, K+Lab, Wood N Soo & Qdup all also playing. This year the festival has moved to a new site in Merritt (BC) so I’m excited to see what the new venues brings & check out a part of Canada I’ve not been to before.

Over the past couple of months I’ve been stirring up a little disco brew. 3 of those tunes have joined forces to make my ‘Night Disco Vol 1 EP’ the first of a new series‘Night Disco Vol 1 EP’ the first of a new series of crafty nu disco jams that will be release on Grits N Gravy…
I’m really happy with how this EP’s sounding & with the cool/funky nu disco direction reflecting a lot of my DJ sets recently. These 3 tunes really spread across the genre from loopy & edit heavy (I Got The High), to funky & filtered (Everybody Loves A Filter) to a little deeper & electronic (Definition).

I’m super happy to be making my debut at Shindig Weekender Festival in UK over the weekend of 25/26/27th May ’18. I’ve not played at a UK festival for a few years, the last one was Glade Festival in 2012, so it’s been a while between drinks! I also grew up in the west country of UK so this is close to ‘home’.
I’ll be playing on my good friend Father Funk‘s Church Of Love stage that looks & sound like a super fun time!
For my next freebie of 2018 I’ve once again teamed up with That’s Not An Edit for Vol 7 of their great edit series, that features tunes by all Aussie producers.
My tune on the release is a cool little Nu Disco version of Eddie Harris’s ‘Alright Now’. I’m really feeling the Nu Disco / Slo Mo House vibes at the moment with a bunch more tunes in the pipe line. Also on the compilation are edits from Pecoe, Collide, Jr Dynamite, Timber, Meem, Mr Leigh, Frankee More, Rowan P, Caratgold, Mr Chombee, Henri le Blanc, DJ Soup, C Man, Slmdnk, Paris Groovescotter & Outliers. It’s a great & varied package that spans multiple genres & moods. Well worth checking them all out…

Here’s my first free download of 2018! A tasty little funky, 2-step/breaks tune that’s got vibes for days!

Recently I’ve been playing & making quite a lot of disco & house. I’ve always played this kind of music but have been more focussed on funk & breaks, especially for the production side of things. I put this sweet little tune together & played it out a few times where it sounded really good! So I thought I’d give it away as a freebie. If you like this fun, disco/nu disco sound then you’ll be please with what’s coming over the next few months…

If you’ve listened to my Motion Notion 2017 set or seen me play recently you may have heard this great little 2 step/breaks version of Storm Queen’s ‘Look Right Through’ I put together. It’s been going down really well & has been the highlight of my set on a number of occasions. I thought it was high time for a freebie, so here it is! ENJOY!

I was super happy to be given the opportunity to remix the title track from the Dub Pistols new album ‘Crazy Diamond’. It’s my 3rd remix for the Dub’s (I also did Killa Sound & I’m In Love) which have all been released on Sunday Best, the label from the guys that run the amazing Uk festival Bestival.
Also featuring on the Crazy Diamond Remix EP are great mixes from Jimi Needles, Kouncil House, Rust Cravers & a great mix from the Dub Pistols themselves.
